Uk calls Italy with the new edition of UK-Italy Springboard

Uk calls Italy with the new edition of UK-Italy Springboard, an entrepreneurial challenge for Italian high-tech startups fostered by UKTI – UK Trade & Investment – (http://www.ukti.gov.uk/home.html) with many other Partners including SETSquared Incubators, a collaboration between the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey which partners in enterprise activities and collectively supports the growth and success of new business opportunities through spin-outs, licensing and incubation. UK-Italy Springboard offers the chance to take part in the Investor Readiness Boot Camp run by international coaches which will take place in Milan in October. Finalists will then pitch their project to a jury of VCs, Corporate Investors and innovators known at international level. The jury will select 3 winners. The first two awards are a free stay at SETSquared Incubators, training sessions with GRM Law, and participation at Intesa Startup Initiative. There are special prizes for particular sectors like 4 weeks of free access to the STFC Innovations Technology Access Centre in the heart of the Harwell Oxford Campus, where winners will receive support from the STFC Campus Development team to enable them to develop links with the space cluster and to gain access to expertise and facilities. Taking part to the competition requires that the company must exist from two years, because youger companies would not take completely advantage from prizes as Tiziana Marcuccio, Investment Officer at UK Trade & Investment says.  The call started on July 1st, the deadline is September 30th. To apply, startups must fill the form online on the official website: www.uk-italybusinessawards.it. Last year MRS, Capstick, Liquidweb and Vivocha won the challenge.
