The idea of making the App “illCare” was founded in February 2014, to have on hand a consultation that is fast and easy to self-medication, with medicines, natural products and cosmetics. A real “Chemist on your App.” The name comes from English illCare “i’ll care”. illCare saw its birth on September 9th with its launch in iOS and Android app stores. The team consists of Arturo Jorio founder and CEO of illCare, pharmacist, pharmacologist with a PhD in organic chemistry; Caterina Fusto energy engineer expert in communication and relationships with customers and suppliers; Giuliano Candreva engineer developer in iOS, Android and Windows; Cristian Barbuto economist takes care of the marketing side and graphic and Giulio Meringolo accountant auditor, is the administrative and business consultant. A young team and at the same time expert ready to conquer the field of mobile health-care. The trump card is the simplicity oriented to be more user friendly as possible, eliminating the annoying and intrusive registration of utilities (illCare is completely anonymous), but above all it is free. You can already download illCare both for iOS and Android and will be soon available for Windows and Amazon platforms. All this has been achieved through self-financing, to date it is still very difficult to get funding, especially if you are new in this field, even more, for a recently born company. With the prize Lamarck, won at Smau Naples, as one of the three best startup at the fair, we will be hosted at Smau in Berlin and in Milan, it is hoped to establish partnerships and meet interesting lenders who, like us, believe in this project. Coming from a commercial environment, I was impressed by the atmosphere that reigns within the startup, characterized by teamwork and information sharing, really inspiring because of the ability to give rise to new ideas and collaborations. During this journey I have made many sacrifices in economical and personal terms, and I am having a lot of difficulties in securing financing to expand my team and to develop new versions of the App, but I really believe in this project so i will not give up and I will go on until the Mobile world has the “Chemist on your App.” Coming from a commercial environment, I was impressed by the atmosphere that reigns within the startup, characterized by teamwork and information sharing, really inspiring because of the ability to give rise to new ideas and collaborations.
