Victoria hub, the E-market project created with startups

Vittoria hub is the insurtech incubator that opens the new edition of its call for startups looking for innovations in the domestic and motortech sectors. Thanks to previous editions, it was possible to create the E-market, Vittoria Assicurazioni’s virtual market dedicated to the offer of non-insurance services dedicated to the person, the home, the family and caregivers, a project that came to life thanks to the collaboration between the insurance company and three of the startups that took part in the previous editions of the program, in particular Ernesto, Medicalbox and VillageCare. Vittoria’s E-martket testifies to the concrete achievement of the company’s primary goal since it created the incubator: the creation of an insurtech ecosystem. A concept that defines a harmonised and well-integrated system of prevention, assistance, remediation, monitoring and insurance services that the user can access at all times, without barriers and according to their needs. In particular, thanks to the partnership with Ernesto, the web platform that helps you find the best home professionals for any type of intervention, it is possible to request, through the Vittoria Assicurazioni portal, free quotes, compare craftsmen thanks to user reviews and independently contact the chosen expert to request an appointment. Also through the Vittoria website or app, you can, with a simple click, receive detailed information, book specialist health visits and diagnostic tests. These services are provided by Medicalbox, the online platform that connects patients and healthcare facilities in Italy through innovative digital applications. Concrete support is also addressed to caregivers. VillageCare provides information, advice and tailor-made solutions on the virtual portal, related to the aging of frail elderly parents or specific pathologies of the elderly. The services are provided by family coaches, experts and specialists, who provide clear and practical answers every day to clients who request them through a network of care partners in the area.

Four areas of research

The new call that the incubator is now open and accepting applications until June 15 is aimed at startups based in Italy with different types of maturity: early stage and post seed. The post seeds with the highest degree of maturity may be subject to an ad-hoc selection by the Vittoria hub team of experts. Both a scalable business model and a highly innovative direction towards foundation models for the insurtech sector will be evaluated. Therefore, ideas that can be replicated effectively and efficiently on a national scale will be considered interesting, also according to the territorial capillarity characteristic of Vittoria Assicurazioni, and the realities that use large language models (LLMs) and large vision models (LVM) for the generation of intelligent chatbots, synthetic datasets and forms of support for profiling, personalization and automation of the offer. Through this call, Victoria Hub intends to intercept companies that have recently been involved in: next-generation smart-home services that are simple, accessible and able to offer innovative user experiences for basic domestic needs: from savings, to living comfort, to maintenance and repair; advanced systems, coverages and services in the motor sector. In detail: systems for the implementation of RC/ARD warranties, innovative coverage for ARD, cutting-edge services for campers and electric cars, services for connecting car devices with the insurance world and for the prevention of car risks and finally full digital services for intermediation with customers with data enrichment, data analytics and claim management; solutions based on specific technologies such as predictive analytics, machine learning, IOT, oracles, capable of supporting the integrated sale of insurance products and the prediction of events and behaviours useful for the definition of new parametric policies and Artificial Intelligence Tools for customer profiling, personalization of the insurance offer, cross-selling and customer loyalty, obviously in compliance with current legislation, and monitoring customer satisfaction.
