In particular, this year’s group boasts the highest participation of Italian startups ever recorded, with six companies among the selected participants. This year’s participants come from Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Vietnam, Slovenia and will live in Turin for the next 13 weeks. “Reflecting on the challenges overcome in previous years, 2023 stands out as a testament to resilience in the midst of adversity. Despite market fluctuations and geopolitical turmoil, our alumni companies have continued to thrive, securing a record $38 million in funding in the last 12 months. In addition, we have celebrated a successful exit and are on the verge of finalizing another one. The resilience of the accelerator and its participating founders has been evident as they navigate through turbulent times, emerging stronger and more united than ever before,” Olczyk said in a statement. In addition to the success of our alumni, we have expanded our team to better serve the growing community of founders. The recent additions of Sheila Simon as program manager and Virginia Pigato as investment analyst underscore our commitment to providing unparalleled support to our founders during and beyond the accelerator journey.” Techstars Torino has also started collaborations with LIFTT, a venture capital fund, and Arcanys Ventures, a technology investment vehicle, to provide founders with skills and resources. It is also associated with HYrise, a German sales training institute, to enhance the sales capabilities of portfolio companies.“As we venture into new territories with the Techstars Transformative World Torino program , we are confident that our expansion into different sectors will not only stimulate innovation, but also future-proof our strategy for the years to come. With four successful years behind us, we look forward to shaping the transformations of the world in 2024 and beyond. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center for their trust and their constant collaboration.
