Nextalia and Alkemia support Hlpy’s EUR 18 million round

Nextalia reports that it has completed, on behalf of the Nextalia Ventures fund, an investment in Hlpy, the scaleup specialising in full digital B2B mobility and vehicle services. Hlpy’s platform, based on machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, connects insurers, car manufacturers and fleet managers and a large network of roadside assistance, vehicle repair and maintenance providers in major European markets.

The EUR 18 million Series B financing round, co-lead by Nextalia and Alkemia Capital and supported by all major shareholders of the company, will enable Hlpy to accelerate its international growth plan. A key element of the strategy is the acquisition of 100% of Hesa Solutions (MySchleppApp), which operates in the field of digital roadside assistance in the German and Austrian markets, with annual growth rates of more than 130%. This transaction enables Hlpy to further strengthen its position as a leading European provider of full digital roadside assistance, extending its service offering already active in Italy, France and Spain to the German and Austrian markets.

This transaction marks Nextalia Ventures’ first investment and a crucial step highlighting Nextalia’s commitment to venture capital and private investment, just a few weeks after the fundraising closed.

Francesco Canzonieri, CEO of Nextalia, comments in a note: “Our first investment with Nextalia Ventures is aimed at supporting a highly innovative Italian company with significant organic and inorganic growth potential. We are ready to support Hlpy in its journey to become the European leader in the digitalisation of roadside assistance’.

Valerio Chiaronzi, CEO of Hlpy, says: ‘This capital increase gives us the necessary impetus to strengthen our presence in markets where we are already operating, Italy, France and Spain, and to expand into new markets, Germany and Austria. The collaboration with Nextalia Ventures, which brings with it great management experience and a wide network of relationships, will give us the strength to redefine the standards of digital roadside assistance without geographical limits. This is the beginning of a new phase of growth for Hlpy.” (photo by Adyant Pankaj on Unsplash)
