New round for Vitesy, EUR 4 million from CDP VC and Mediaset

“We are working hard to become a reference startup in the Italian hardware and deeptech scene, proving that even from Italy it is possible to launch technological and innovative products that are appreciated by consumers all over the world,” Paolo Ganis, co-founder and CEO of Vitesy, tells Startupbusiness in announcing the new €4 million investment round.

Vitesy was founded by Paolo Ganis himself and Alessio D’Andrea and Vincenzo Vitiello (in the photo) and specialises in the creation of green and intelligent solutions for people’s well-being. The raising of the new round is led by Fondo Rilancio Startup, managed by CDP Venture Capital with Mediaset’s participation to cover the media part and a part optioned by the startup’s current shareholders.

Nine months after the last capital increase, Vitesy has reached a total investment of approximately EUR 14 million, which is leading it increasingly to establish itself in the cleantech sector. Founded with the desire to improve people’s lives and well-being through the development of innovative, smart, and sustainable technological solutions, Vitesy is a cutting-edge Italian company with an international presence as well. Today, the primary objective is to continue focusing on the expansion and positioning in strategic markets of Shelfy, the device launched on the market less than a year ago that helps combat food waste.

The round was joined by the current shareholders, who continue to believe in the project and continue to invest in the company’s growth. “This new round will allow us to intensify our investment in technology and continue to penetrate increasingly strategic markets such as the US, UK and Europe. We are truly honoured by the renewed trust and support of CDP Venture Capital, which has allowed us to grow significantly in recent years, just as we are thrilled by the presence of Mediaset whose media coverage will allow us to make ourselves known in the market,’ Ganis adds.

More than 15,000 pieces have already been sold of the innovative Shelfy device, designed and manufactured to combat food waste by improving the healthiness of food in the refrigerator, reaching more than 60 countries around the world and also winning several awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, which adds to the previous Best Product Award at the EMEA Channel Summit, the Innovation Award at Cibus Tec in Parma to the German Design Award, European Product Design Award and the Good Design Award.
