Lexroom.ai, a start-up developing solutions based on artificial intelligence applied to the legal sector, announces that it has closed a EUR 2 million seed round, led by Belgian fund Entourage. The round was underwritten by new investors, such as Swiss VC fund Verve Ventures and US-based Banyan Ventures as well as angel investors such as Joe Zadeh, former VP product at Airbnb and former head of Airbnb Experiences. The participation of current investors also continues, including Vento Ventures and X-Equity with advisor FNDX.
Lexroom.ai aims to innovate the work of lawyers by exploiting the potential of generative AI. The platform provides advanced tools that simplify every stage of legal work: from legal research to high-precision document analysis and the automated generation of deeds, contracts and other documentation.
Today, Lexroom.ai drives the technological transition in the legal sector, thanks to its collaboration with leading firms such as Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici in corporate law, Ichino Brugnatelli & Associati in labour law and WST Law & Tax Firm in tax law. More than just a tool, Lexroom.ai represents a real efficiency accelerator driving the digital transformation of the legal sector.
“Since we started our journey in the venture builder Vento Ventures in 2023, our vision has been to support the work of professionals, developing a product capable of optimising their most precious resource: time. The arrival of investors such as Entourage and Verve Ventures will allow us to grow the team and continue to develop our product, aiming to become the AI platform of reference on the Italian market and beyond,” commented Paolo Fois, co-founder and CEO of Lexroom.ai, pictured here with the other founders, in a note.
After the pre-seed funding round of EUR 500,000 in 2024, Lexroom.ai in less than a year has reached 1,000 clients between law firms and corporations, approaching ARR 1 million, with 15 employees.
Lexroom.ai will use the two million euros raised to continue investing in technological innovation and build a team specialised in artificial intelligence development, with the aim of reaching 35 employees by the end of the year, 50% of them developers.
Backing the startup as a lead investor in its next phase of growth will be Entourage, a Belgian venture capital fund founded by Pieterjan Bouten, an experienced entrepreneur and former founder of Showpad who says: “Lexroom.ai is solving a very relevant problem for lawyers, and feature after feature is becoming an indispensable tool for legal professionals. The speed with which it is scaling testifies to the existence of a deep need in the market and the soundness of its strategic vision. We are excited to support Lexroom in its exponential growth and to observe its transformative impact in the legal industry.”
