FNM announces that it has acquired a 30.77% stake in Mbility, a company that facilitates availability and increases the offer of transport services, including accompanied transport, for frail people or people with disabilities through its digital platform. Mbility’s equity investment was made through the subscription and payment of a share capital increase reserved for FNM amounting to one million euros.
Extension of activities in the area
Founded in 2020 in Milan, Mbility started operations in 2023 in Milan and Lombardy, with the aim of extending its activity nationally, with a focus on the main cities. Due to the fragmentation of operators, the lack of digitalization and the significant growth forecasts of the reference market due to the constant aging of the population, the company presents interesting development prospects by operating as a system aggregator through a digital platform enabling all equipped and healthcare transport operators. The investment in Mbility is consistent with FNM’s 2021-2025 strategic plan as it immediately allows for a service based on an already launched platform and agreements signed with operators in the sector, capable of serving a large and constantly growing community in a MAAC (mobility as a community) logic. Further synergies could derive from the opportunity for integration and complementarity with other companies in the group, including Busforfun.com which entered the orbit of the group in November 2020 , which controls, among other things, Trenord and the Milan Milan ring roads company Serravalle-MilanoTangenziali, E-Vai and Fnmpay.
