Digital driving school, Guidoio raises 700 thousand euros

Guidoio, the platform that aims to innovate the driving school sector in Italy, announces that it has completed a pre-seed funding round of 700 thousand euros, led by 360 Capital and supported by Growth Engine and Vesper Holding.

Today, many young people between the ages of 18 and 24 face long waiting times and a high failure rate, 32% fail the theory exam – the startup says in a note – which make the experience with traditional driving schools frustrating, particularly for Generation Z who aspire to become the next generation of drivers.

Guidoio is therefore dedicated to digitizing and modernizing the driving school experience in Italy, offering a fully digital and seamless platform for obtaining a driver’s license. The company has developed a user-friendly app that addresses the urgent need for a personalized and faster path to obtaining a driver’s license.

The Online Driving School

With Guidoio, Italian users can now explore the benefits of online driving school, as is already the case in other European countries. This innovative app aims to innovate the Italian market by providing a unique solution for online enrollment, access to a complete e-learning platform, and management of the entire learning experience.

“The support we have received is a crucial step in our journey. It allows us to deepen our relationship with all our stakeholders, ensuring that their needs and expectations are not only met, but exceeded. This funding isn’t just about technology; it’s about people, partnerships, and a commitment to delivering on our promise of excellence on all fronts,” says Lorenzo Mannari, co-founder of Guidoio.

“This pre-seed funding represents a significant milestone for Guidoio. It is a confirmation of our work and a step forward in our goal of reforming driving education through our digital platform, focusing on the essentials: efficiency and a user-centered approach,” adds Franz Uhl, co-founder of Guidoio.

“Guidoio is revolutionizing one of those sectors, driving schools, which in Italy remains deeply analog and fragmented, with an innovative solution that is radically more efficient and less expensive. There are countries like France and Germany where digital driving schools have existed for many years, and the Italian market seems ready to make this leap. We are thrilled to support such a capable team as Guidoio’s,” says Lucrezia Lucotti, partner at 360 Capital.
