Deeva, round of 400 thousand euros

After the first round of 150 thousand euros closed in May 2022, the development of the startup Deeva, a booking platform for home hairdressers in Turin, continues with the closing of a seed-round of 400 thousand euros in just 2 weeks that will guarantee the startup 18 months of runaway. The company born within the startup studio Mamazen reached this milestone just eight months after its foundation, which took place in mid-April 2023, beating all market predictions of US benchmarks that estimate an average of 12 months for the closing of seed-rounds. The Deeva team, with a recurringrevenue of 7 thousand euros up +69% in November alone and an increase in monthly operating margin of +11.7%, continues to conquer the beauty market thanks to the experience and professionalism of CEO Irene Giani and co-founder Yan Cataldo. Irene, the daughter of entrepreneurs and raised in her mother’s perfumery, has always been passionate about beauty. He worked for six years at Facile.it, experiencing the transformation from scaleup to unicorn, and in his last role he created and led a business unit. Yan, 20 years of experience in beauty, at the age of 19 he joined a company with three beauty salons as a partner. In 2004 he opened his first independent salon, reaching a turnover of 600 thousand euros and a team of ten people, until the sale. He then helped grow dozens of hair salons. In 2023, he joined Deeva as a co-founder. “The startup was born from the validation process of Mamazen and from an initial investment made by IH1 – says Farhad Alessandro Mohammadi, CEO and co-founder of Mamazen – But it is certain that the experience of the two co-founders and their network of acquaintances were the essential elements for achieving this goal.
