Cosmico, 10 million euro turnover and international expansion

Cosmico grows and does so with substantial numbers: from EUR 500,000 in 2020 to EUR 10 million in the year that is about to end, employees grow from 5 to 30 people between Italy and Spain, and the community numbers over 25,000 professionals. The HR tech scaleup created to connect top digital talent with companies on the hunt for digital professionals is making progress led by founders Francesco Marino, Simone Tornabene and Matteo Roversi (pictured).

Founded in 2020, the company recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 126.6%. After closing 2023 at EUR 4.5 million, a EUR 1.8 million seed round and the acquisition of Bioss, a further step marking the acceleration of growth today came with the EUR 4 million Series A round in 2024 with Prana Ventures as lead investor in the deal.

The capital injection also allowed the company to grow through external lines, with the acquisition of specialised companies such as Flatmates, the content creator agency of Marcello Ascani and Michele Pagani. Cosmico expects to make further strategic acquisitions to strengthen its market position and accelerate the development of its proprietary platform through frontier technologies such as generative AI and the use of the RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) model, optimised with human supervision.

Francesco Marino, CEO and co-founder of Cosmico, comments on the results in a note: ‘Companies express a market need that, over the years, we have been able to intercept and satisfy. This year we have been at the side of 150 large companies that have chosen our model, that of talent-as-a-service, which allows them not only to fill gaps, but to rethink their entire work organisation. Our achievements pave the way for new perspectives for professionals and organisations. The next steps will allow us to push our mission even further: to create an ecosystem that not only responds to current needs, but is capable of anticipating them and accompanying a transformation of the world of work driven by individual talent.”

In 2025, the scaleup aims to consolidate its international presence and expand its community abroad: just four months after the opening of its Madrid office, it joined BBVA Spark, marking the first significant milestones in Spain, including a 4-person team that is already an integral part of the European growth strategy, confirming itself as a reference point in the evolution of working models outside and inside organisations and in the creation of valuable connections between companies and digital professionals.
