Telling the story of companies, particularly Italian companies, of which there are more than 220,000 small and medium-sized ones, is a challenge that we at Startupbusiness know well, and so we are pleased to see the emergence of new media formats that contribute to giving strength to the message that enterprise and business innovation are fundamental to the economy but also to society and above all to overcoming the challenges posed by this historic moment.
That is why we welcome Chapeau Media, a reality that was created to tell the stories of Italy’s greatest entrepreneurs in an authentic and informal way: how they got where they are, what helped them the most, their mistakes and practical advice with the aim of inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs by building a community, also through physical events, that allows young people to get in touch with the most important entrepreneurs, CEOs and investors.
Founded by Giacomo Luppi, Filippo Carabelli, Pietro Santini and Simone Roccoli, four professionals with experience in companies such as Salesforce, OneDay Group, Simon-Kucher and McKinsey, Chapeau is a window on the world of Italian entrepreneurship. Through weekly interviews with leading Italian entrepreneurs and managers and content distributed on YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, the media company has achieved extraordinary results in less than a year: 750 thousand monthly users and three million views on YouTube. The names in Chapeau Media’s network already include figures such as Nerio Alessandri of Technogym and Oscar Farinetti of Eataly, but also the new generation of startup and scaleup founders such as Luca Ferrari of Bending Spoons and Alberto Dalmasso of Satispay.
Chapeau’s results attracted the interest of investors such as Marcello Ascani, co-founder of Flatmates, a content creator agency that decided to support the project to amplify its impact, both with a financial investment of 140,000 euros and by forming a real strategic alliance.
Ascani (pictured with the founders) comments in a note: “Chapeau Media’s mission is deeply aligned with mine: to inspire young people to discover how beautiful and rewarding it is to do business in Italy. One voice alone is not enough to tell the story, and I believe that Chapeau, with its authentic and engaging approach, has the potential to amplify this message and build a new generation of entrepreneurs”.
