Bitbanda, Fernández at the helm of operations in southern and eastern Europe

Bitpanda, the Austrian fintech scaleup, announces that it has appointed Mireya Fernández to the role of country lead for Southern Europe and CEE – Central and Eastern Europe . Mireya will take over the leadership of Bitpanda in Italy, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovenia, expanding her previous responsibility in Spain, where she has led the company’s growth strategy since 2022. In this new role, Fernández will coordinate the local teams, acting as an intermediary between Bitpanda and key institutions in each country to understand their needs and establish strategic alliances, as well as design and execute marketing and sales strategies tailored to each region and introduce new products and services. He will also take on the role of spokesperson in each of the markets.

Mireya Fernández in a note expresses gratitude for the trust placed in her and underlines that this new role will allow her to “contribute, on a larger scale, to the success of the company, so that it can position itself as a leading platform in Europe”. The platform is trusted by more than four million users and dozens of institutional partners. At a time when European investors are increasingly demanding secure and convenient solutions to invest in all types of digital assets, Bitpanda continues to position itself as the platform that responds to the specific needs of each market in which it operates in a secure and fully regulated manner. Mireya Fernández has extensive experience coordinating marketing and product strategies at international technology companies such as The Fork and N26. Prior to joining Bitpanda, he served as a marketing manager at Huawei Technologies for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Fernández studied Advertising at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design in the United States. He holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX).
