Mamazen launches two new start-ups, Balanced and Micury, both committed to innovation in the field of personal health.
Balanced
Eighty per cent of diets fail within the first year, and 90 per cent of people who lose weight regain it within two years. The problem is that nutritional support is rarely combined with motivational support. Traditional diets focus only on the symptom, excess weight, without investigating the root causes that lead to unhealthy eating habits.
Balanced aims to tackle the problem at its root, combining nutrition and motivation to help people lose weight in a healthy way and maintain it over time. It is, in fact, an online platform that allows for a customised diet path with constant advice and support.
Thanks to a tailor-made programme and constant coaching throughout the process, possible moments of discouragement are avoided and the result is achieved while remaining motivated.
The start-up is led by Alessandro Marchetto, former country manager of a Swiss scaleup, and Leyla Gargiulo formerly of Bain.
“Loss of motivation in a nutritional journey can manifest itself in many ways. For example, an eating plan that does not fit into your daily routine and complicates your day, or not having a quick answer to an urgent question. Even a lack of frequent communication and interaction, which may seem harmless, can be discouraging and eventually lead to abandonment. We believe that these details are crucial. Our strength lies in our daily communication and in the knowledge that our customers can count on a dedicated person who is always available for dialogue. We are responsive in providing practical and customised solutions when needed and constantly monitor progress and targets. We take care, and ensure, that client motivation remains constant. We firmly believe that these are the strengths of our service,’ says Alessandro Marchetto in a note.
Micury
Often work, family, and difficulties with movement make it difficult to take care of one’s health, leading people to live with pains that risk worsening their quality of life.
The objective of Micury, a start-up headed by Simone Mugnaioli, an entrepreneur with experience in the business sector, is to simplify access to musculoskeletal and aesthetic-functional prevention and rehabilitation treatments at home. Through the online platform, in fact, it is possible to select, according to one’s needs, the professionals who will arrive directly at home on the agreed day and at the agreed time.
At present, the service is active in Turin and Milan and provides aesthetic, decontracting and relaxing massages for healthy patients, but soon the physiotherapy service for home rehabilitation will also be activated.
“Offering a personalised and accessible wellness experience right in the comfort of home, that is our goal. Often immersed in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we lose sight of our well-being and this can have a negative impact in the long term. With Micury, we want to give people the opportunity to carve out a moment for themselves directly at home and improve their quality of life, saving time and energy,’ says Simone Mugnaioli.
