Baby VC, the bootcamp to learn how to invest arrives in Italy

It’s called Baby VC and is the program that aims to train the venture capitalists of the future. Born in France in 2019 and then developed in Germany and Great Britain in 2022 and 2023 respectively, now it also arrives in Italy, Spain and Portugal. Baby VC organizes bootcamps with the collaboration of leading European venture capitalists, including Speedinvest, Project A, Alven Partech, Revaia, Creandum, Earlybird and specifically, for the Italian program that will start with the first bootcamp in March 2024 (Registration is open until February), collaborates with Italians in VC, which is the community of Italian venture capital operators in the world and which aims to connect and train new generations of Italian investors and entrepreneurs, Launched two years ago, it now has over 700 members worldwide and promotes various initiatives such as mentorship sessions, training resources and masterclasses to support the Italian ecosystem and foster global connections.

European Network

Thanks to the birth of the new programs in Italy and the Iberian Peninsula, Baby VC is now present in six European countries, confirming its commitment to create a pan-European network for startup and venture capital enthusiasts. The partnership with Italians in VC regarding the Italian program aims to join forces to support and train the new generation of investors and entrepreneurs in the sector. Italy boasts a promising startup and venture capital ecosystem that captures international attention and arouses growing interest from foreign investors. The Italian ecosystem has demonstrated higher levels of investment in recent years and now follows a growth path comparable to other European nations. Growing local VC communities and educating students on the subject has become increasingly vital to support the future development of the industry. Thanks to the results obtained to date in France, the United Kingdom and Germany, Baby VC arrives in Southern Europe in 2024 to maintain this mission. The first bootcamps will take place starting in March 2024, pursuing the same goal as the previous 12 bootcamps organized by Baby VC: to bring together young and ambitious talents from different backgrounds and experiences, offering them the opportunity to meet and learn from the best investors and entrepreneurs in Italy. Baby VC is looking for individuals with a genuine interest in technology, startups, and venture capital who want to start and advance their professional careers in these industries. The bootcamps are eight weeks long and are designed especially for students, recent graduates, and professionals. The bootcamp is held every six months. Baby VC is led by Ghita Benjelloun Benkacem who is president after leading the activities in the UK, while Amicie Favre and Alessandro Casiraghi, lead the expansion in Italy and Spain, Jorge Campo Teruel is head of Iberia and Giulia Balzaretti is head of Italy.
