A-Road, applications for the fifth batch are now open

A-Road, the acceleration and fundraising program designed and managed by Growth Capital, is now in its fifth batch. The program is designed to allow scaleups to embark on a path to get to the Series A round in a short time. Five companies will be selected: by entering the program, they will receive an initial investment through SAFE of 200 thousand euros from the investment holding company Growth Engine, plus up to a potential additional 300 thousand euros from co-investors. In addition, they will receive ongoing one-to-one support from high-profile CEOs and mentors, structured and tailor-made assistance to the Series A round from the Growth Capital team and workshops, professional services and ad hoc advice from A-Road’s partners and experts. “We are very proud of the results of these first years of A-Road, obtained also thanks to the excellent support of our mentors, entrepreneurs who have built companies of great value and who have helped the 18 startups of the program in their core business, and of our partners, the best in their fields of expertise. Looking at the first three batches, there were 9 fundraising and 2 M&A, recording a significant increase in revenues (+75%) and team (+78%) in the year following participation in the program,” Fabio Mondini de Focatiis, founding partner of Growth Capital, said in a note. A-Road’s goal, in fact, is precisely to accompany high-potential companies in the growth process in a very delicate phase of their journey, consolidating our role at the center of the venture capital ecosystem”.

The partners of the fifth batch

The team of CEOs and mentors selected to support the participants in this fifth batch is made up of Marco Ariello (former chairman of Moleskine), Paola Bonomo (NEVA investment committee non-executive director TIM, AXA, FAAC), Micol Fornaroli (EQT industrial advisor and board member of several pharmaceutical companies), Tommaso Gamaleri (CEO Europe Younited), Milena Mondini (group CEO Admiral), Alessandro Petazzi (co-founder and former CEO Musement, board advisor TUI Musement), Duccio Vitali (CEO Alkemy) and Andrea Zocchi (director emeritus McKinsey). The program offers ad hoc workshops and consultations by selected experts and partners, such as McKinsey & Company, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Legance Avvocati Associati, Carter & Benson, Sisvel, Studio Notai Associati Ricci & Radaelli, Studio CS and Press Play. Finally, A-Road ensures dedicated and tailor-made support from Growth Capital towards the Series A round, defining the methods, timing and structure of the round and identifying the most suitable investors based on their needs.
