Among the initiatives promoted by the Commissioner General for Italy in support of the enterprises involved in the forthcoming Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka from 13 April to 13 October 2025 is the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Commissioner General himself and Confimpreseitalia that also focuses on integrated tourism promotion actions, involving companies, investors, start-ups and stakeholders in concrete internationalisation opportunities, also through workshops and B2B of participating enterprises for the attraction of international investors that will be held inside the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
Guido D’Amico, president of Confimpreseitalia, highlights the Confederation’s commitment to supporting the internationalisation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for almost 30 years and emphasises, speaking to Startupbusiness, the support aimed in particular at start-ups through concrete interventions, first and foremost through accompanying them in obtaining financing, particularly in the form of microcredit, and then through marketing and international promotion services carried out at the Confederation’s foreign offices, which are permanently present abroad in the main countries related to the development of their sectors of expertise, particularly tourism, services and manufacturing.
A number of start-ups will take part in the mission in August. They will present their innovative services, including new models of target-based incoming management in the tourism sector, the use of blockchain technology in the food & beverage sector, and the use of drawing systems with 3D models in the fashion sector.
“It is a great honour and a source of prestige for Confimpreseitalia to sign this memorandum of understanding, which strengthens our commitment to supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in their path of growth and internationalisation. Expo 2025 Osaka represents an extraordinary opportunity to increase the visibility and competitiveness of our companies on a global scale,’ D’Amico added in a note. ‘Promoting innovation and enhancing the value of Made in Italy in the world is our mission.
“Expo 2025 Osaka is an unmissable opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of our companies on the global stage. Thanks also to the protocol with Confimpreseitalia, we are committed to promoting innovation, growth, and the internationalisation of our entrepreneurial fabric,’ says the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Mario Vattani – The micro, small and medium-sized Italian companies that characterise our production and manufacturing system can once again become protagonists by bringing the excellence of our know-how to the world’.
Expo 2025 – of which the image shows an outline taken from the documents of the organising body – will be held in Osaka from 13 April to 13 October 2025 and has the theme ‘Designing the societies of the future for our lives’. The Italian Pavilion, designed by MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects, interprets it with ‘Art Regenerates Life’.
