Satispay released a note announcing that with the start of the year, notices were sent to the network of merchants affiliated with its payment platform, informing them of a change of commissions that will come into effect as of 7 April 2025. The new commission payment system will provide merchants with a single commission of 1%. on all amounts for payments made in physical shops.
The fintech also informs that on all transactions, as well as for transfers between private individuals (P2P), consumers will continue to be able to use the service completely free of charge, without any fees.
The introduction of the change comes after years of development and launch of numerous services by Satispay, all of which have been aimed at fostering growth in the customer base and revenues of participating merchants. Among the most recent examples are the launch of Satispay Meal Vouchers, already chosen by over 20,000 companies and used by more than 100,000 users,” says a note, “and Satispay Purchase Vouchers (a fringe benefit category), historically very expensive tools for merchants that Satispay offers at no extra cost to small merchants. Other recent services introduced include deferred debit payments, to allow customers to complete the transaction even when there is insufficient availability in the app, and offline payments.
Alberto Dalmasso, co-founder and CEO of Satispay states in the note: ‘If 10 years ago the key to changing payment habits was an intuitive app and a policy that did not charge commissions on payments under 10 euro, today the scenario is different. Shopkeepers now willingly accept electronic payments, but the need to attract more and more customers remains strong. That is why we work every day, to create new value-added services and make our merchants grow with us. This is already happening with Satispay Meal Vouchers and Purchase Vouchers (fringe benefits) and will continue with future innovations. In 2024 alone, Satispay Meal Vouchers worth EUR 50 million were spent, without additional fees for the merchant”.
Satispay’s growth has led it today with its team of almost 700 people to develop and offer services used by over 5 million users and more than 400 thousand merchants. (photo Satispay website)
