DoctorApp, an Innovative SME founded in 2018 as a doctor’s appointment booking app, announces the closing of its second equity crowdfunding campaign on CrowdFundMe, surpassing its target goal of €500,000.
More than EUR 150,000 was raised within a few hours of the launch, and then, with the participation of both new investors and those who had participated in the first round, which took place in 2021, the half million euro mark was reached. DoctorApp had already raised 350,000 euro during the first crowdfunding campaign, followed by a further 600,000 euro in funding, of which 400,000 euro came from the Apollion Fund.
“We are thrilled with the support we received, especially from those who decided to invest in DoctorApp again. In fact, the investment requests exceeded the €500,000 raised, but we had to close the campaign when the target was reached. This great injection of confidence strengthens our determination to continue on our path of growth,’ commented CEO and founder Alessandro Giraudo (pictured here with the team) in a note.
Among the new members is Weconstudio, DoctorApp’s historical technology partner, which has decided to further support the project with an investment of EUR 50,000. Since 2023, DoctorApp has expanded its target audience to include specialist doctors, and is now positioned as an innovative reality in the digital health sector. Today, DoctorApp is not only a reference point for the management of medical bookings, but thanks to more than 400,000 active users, the Cuneo-based SME has also become a real services marketplace that is opening up new lines of business.
“This second campaign confirms the solidity of the project and the team’s ability to respond to market needs. Our goal is to continue to support DoctorApp in its growth path, bringing innovation and added value to the healthcare sector,” says Marco Rizzelli, general manager of Seed Money and board member of DoctorApp.
SeedMoney and SocialFare Seed are the companies that were among the first to support the company when it was taking its first steps. The result of this campaign represents a significant step for DoctorApp, which now aims to consolidate its presence in the Italian market and expand further, offering increasingly advanced solutions to improve the patient experience and optimise workflows for healthcare professionals.
