AmaliaCare, a startup with a social vocation that, thanks to AI and algorithms, facilitates families in the search for the most suitable caregiver in terms of experience, skills, character and personal traits of the elderly person to be assisted, announces that it has A capital increase of over one million euros has been completed. Among the investors are Personae, the acceleration program dedicated to welfare of the CDP Venture Capital National Accelerator Network, the a|impact fund, the SocialFare Seed fund and the business angel James Tiernan

AmaliaCare, founded in October 2020 in Brescia by Sonia Paonessa and Eliana Pérez, facilitates the meeting and management of professional caregivers for the care of elderly people through an innovative selection process capable of meeting the increasingly complex needs of families. It starts with an in-depth study of the situation of the person to be assisted, then all the characteristics that the ideal caregiver must have are identified and finally, through algorithms and adaptive questions, the startup is able to identify the family assistant with the right mix of experience, competence, availability and character traits.

Exponential growth

The startup has so far provided its services to 650 families in 19 Italian regions, receiving over 60 thousand applications from professional caregivers.

“We are very happy and proud to have reached this milestone – say the two co-founders in a note – thanks to these investments we are now aiming for territorial expansion with six physical offices located in Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Veneto by 2025 and to support over 5 thousand families in Italy in the search for the most suitable caregiver for their needs and that of the fragile subject. In fact, our biggest goal is to become the reference point for families and domestic workers in the care landscape in Italy within the next 5 years”.

The injection of liquidity just received will be used for the implementation and development of the algorithm and platform, the expansion of the team, the increase of the marketing department and the territorial expansion with two new offices in Milan and Turin.
