Switch, a start-up that develops solutions to optimise operations and fleet planning with AI, announces a €946,000 pre-seed investment round that comes as confirmation of support from industry and financial partners who believe in the project whose aim is to transform urban mobility and logistics to help create smarter and more sustainable cities.
The round, which included an equity investment of EUR 728,000 and non-dilutive grants, was attended by Italian and international investors, including Magic Spectrum, EIT Urban Mobility, Berkeley Skydeck Europe Milano, NextSTEP, Spreentech Ventures, MobilityUP and Apuliasoft. The start-up was accelerated by Berkeley Skydeck Europe at MIND – Milano Innovation District.
Switch’s solutions, Urban CoPilot and Urbiverse, leverage a proprietary AI simulation engine to optimise fleet management in real time, with demand forecasting capabilities and advanced strategic planning tools. Switch has already successfully processed more than five million rides in multiple countries, accurately predicting mobility needs, improving operational efficiency and providing data-driven insights to fleet operators, as well as feeding learning into its AI models.
“Mobility and logistics are changing rapidly, with an increasing number of players in the sector. In addition to traditional players, start-ups and innovative companies are emerging offering smart and on-demand services based on micro-mobility, autonomous vehicles and other advanced solutions. With Switch, we offer not just technology, but a new AI-based approach to optimising every aspect of fleets. Thanks to this investment, we can accelerate this transformation and collaborate with more and more partners to build the future of these sectors,’ Matteo Forte, CEO and founder of Switch (pictured with the team), tells Startupbusiness.
In addition to serving fleet operators and managers, Switch is actively collaborating with tech companies developing products in the mobility and logistics sector through its AI Agent for demand forecasting. Currently being tested with several companies and with a public launch planned for 2025, this advanced technology enables the smooth integration of AI-based demand forecasting and simulations, helping partners enhance their solutions with predictive capabilities that are accurate, scalable and applicable to all types of vehicles and sectors.
The investment will enable Switch to accelerate the development of its solutions and increase its impact in the mobility and logistics ecosystem. The funds raised will be used to further enhance the startup’s technology, expand its commercial presence and consolidate partnerships with companies in the industry.
