2Watch and Copyright Capital invest in Italian content creators

2Watch, a startup specialising in the development of innovative entertainment tools, announces that it has signed a partnership with Copyright Capital, a vehicle operating in the creation economy investment sector, with a particular focus on video content creators on platforms such as Youtube. Through the partnership, the services offered by Copyright Capital, which to date has already invested in bringing to success over 100 channels of content creators in various countries such as France, Turkey, Brazil and the USA, will also be available in Italy.

The common goal is to turn content creators into real entrepreneurs by supporting them with investments in their publishing and business projects.

One of the most original aspects of this exclusive partnership is the launch of a new format by 2Watch similar to the Anglo-Saxon TV programme Shark Tank with the intention of selecting the most promising content creators with whom to start an investment path for their projects. This new programme, unique in the country, will offer content creators the opportunity to present their projects to a panel of investors and experienced talent and obtain the necessary funds to develop and realise their ideas.

“We are thrilled to partner with Copyright Capital,” said Fabrizio Perrone, CEO of 2Watch (pictured), in a note, “to offer content creators the resources they need to turn their passions into viable and sustainable careers. This partnership is an important step towards our mission to redefine entertainment’.

Copyright Capital will provide financing solutions for creators who intend to publish relevant entertainment formats and need budgets for their realisation. The forms of investment are diverse, including equity investments, advances on future earnings from content or catalogue acquisitions and tailor-made solutions for larger projects. These solutions will enable creators to obtain the necessary funds for their projects, explore new business opportunities and maximise their presence on multiple platforms.

Copyright Capital CEO Jack Ojalvo adds: “Our mission is to help creators unlock their full potential. We are excited to partner with 2Watch to propose innovative financing solutions that enable creators to expand their horizons and reach new heights.”

Among the various initiatives put in place by 2Watch and Copyright Capital is the Creator Lab, a lab-like space dedicated to developing the entrepreneurial, editorial and business skills of creators that will enable content creators to turn their passion into a full-time job.
