Maker Faire Rome 2015

Maker Faire Rome is the European edition of the Maker Faire and will be held 16 and 18 October at “La Sapienza” University of Rome.  With over 600 inventions on display in 2014 and 90 thousand visitors, Maker Faire Rome is the world’s largest exhibition after the “Area Bay” and “New York” in the US. This year, after the success of the 2014 editions (it ended with the participation of 90,000 people who saw and touched over 600 inventions with their own hands; 15,000 kids attended  360 workshops in a ​​2000 sqm area), the organization expects hundreds of attendees, hundreds of inventions and attractions from 65 nations. On the programme: live performances, panels, workshops, seminars, conferences. An area of ​​over 100 thousand square meters entirely available, more than 15 thousand square meters of exhibition space, more than 600 stands with over 700 inventions on display from worldwide selected from more than 1,300 projects submitted to the Call for Makers, which ended in mid-June, hundreds of workshops and seminars,  an area for kids of almost three thousand square meters where children aged five years on, they will have more than 90 laboratories for learning to program, building your own robot and much more. Among the main attractions, a huge aviary for drones, of about 300 square meters wide and 22 meters high, entirely dedicated to the flight of these devices and their performance; a large area Food & Agriculture, with over 40 exhibitors, which will show innovations in the field of craft brewing, crepes in 3D printing, robots that make cocktails,  vertical gardens, hydroponic crops and more.
